GM Oil Consumption Lawsuit: Vehicles Affected

Model year 2010-2014 GM vehicles with Active Fuel Management LC9 Generation IV 5.3 Liter V8 Vortec 5300 engines that were manufactured from February 10th, 2011 and onward appear to exhibit this oil consumption defect.

These vehicles include:

  • GMC Yukon 2010-2014
  • GMC Yukon XL 2010-2014
  • Chevrolet Avalanche 2010-2014
  • GMC Sierra 2010-2014
  • Chevrolet Silverado 2010-2014
  • Chevrolet Suburban 2010-2014
  • Chevrolet Tahoe 2010-2014

The complaint filed against General Motors alleged that vehicles equipped with a Generation IV Vortec 5300 Engine have been consuming an inordinate amount of oil, in noticeable excess of industry standards.
