Acura and Honda Fuel Pump Problems

Certain 2018-2020 Acura and Honda vehicles have fuel pumps that may contain defective impellers. Over time, drivers may notice this produces a loss in engine power, making the vehicle more prone to stalling. This can potentially increase the risk of a collision or accident.

Honda has announced that at this point in time, there have been no reports of accidents or injuries caused by this defective fuel pump condition. However, Honda recommends drivers take their vehicles to a certified dealer for repair or replacement of this part.

Additional Information: Acura and Honda Fuel Pump Recall

Starting on May 18th, 2021 Honda made an announcement that they would be replacing the fuel pumps in these vehicles, at no cost to the driver. If you are an owner or lessee of one of the above vehicles, Acura or Honda may have sent you a notice by mail in late May of 2021.
