Jeep Renegade Oil Consumption Recall

One of the key problems drivers have been facing with their Jeep Renegade vehicles is inordinately rapid oil consumption. This defect appears to be caused by a crack in the oil pump housing, which causes Jeep Renegades to leak oil at an accelerated rate.

As a result, drivers are reporting chronically low oil levels, despite changing the oil frequently. This Jeep Renegade oil consumption problem may cause the vehicle to stall prematurely or without warning.

Jeep Renegade Recall: Loss in Fuel Pressure

Chrysler FCA has also issued a Jeep Renegade recall addressing a loss in fuel pressure in its vehicles. 2017-2018 Jeep Renegade vehicles will experience a loss in fuel pressure under certain conditions, such as when drivers place:

  • And high power demands when driving in high ambient temperatures

This defect can cause issues with the vehicle’s fuel pump assembly and may result in a gradual or sudden loss in fuel pressure.

As a part of this Jeep Renegade Recall, Chrysler has notified Jeep drivers that they will repair or replace these defective parts and mechanisms free of charge. However, drivers may be eligible for additional damages including the repair or even the full replacement of their vehicle, under the lemon law.
