2021 Toyota Venza Class Action Lawsuit

There is a class-action lawsuit against Toyota for these Toyota Venza windshield defects. The suit alleges undue windshield chipping and cracking plague 2021 Toyota Venza vehicles.

This process was started when Plaintiff Heather David noticed a crack in her windshield that was roughly six inches long. She brought her vehicle to the dealership, where they were able to replace her windshield and recalibrate her forward recognition camera.

Just weeks later, the plaintiff's windshield cracked again, spontaneously, with no visible or audible blunt force or impact caused to the windshield. This happened to the plaintiff two more times, resulting in 4 windshield replacements from July 2021 to January 2022.

Toyota Venza Windshield Replacement Cost

The plaintiff reported initially paying over $1,700 out of pocket for the initial windshield repair costs before. Her insurance company later reimbursed her for the replacement of her cracked windshields.

Other drivers have reported that costs can range from $900 and up, depending on the nature of the crack or chip and if repair is an option or if full replacement of the windshield is required.

Is There A Toyota Venza Recall?

At this point in time, Toyota has allegedly refused to order a recall on 2021 Toyota Venza vehicles with defective windshields. It does not seem that they are offering to reimburse Venza drivers for costs related to chipped and cracked windshields at this time.
